Association of Michigan Basketmakers – “Weaving on the Water” 2026 Convention
October 15, 2025 - October 19, 2025

The Association of Michigan Basketmakers (AMB) invites you to the 2026 Annual Convention – “Weaving on the Water”, a five-day basketry gathering on the St. Clair River in Port Huron, Michigan.
The convention will be held October 21–25, 2026 at the Blue Water Convention Center, a modern, waterfront venue with views of the river and the Blue Water Bridge, attached to a full-service hotel and close to downtown dining and shops.
Every autumn, hundreds of basketmakers of all skill levels come together at the AMB Annual Convention to:
-
Learn new techniques and patterns in workshops for every level
-
Share ideas, inspiration, and finished work in the exhibit room
-
Enjoy evening programs, raffles, and a bustling marketplace with vendors and supplies
The 2026 theme, “Weaving on the Water,” celebrates AMB’s love of baskets and Michigan’s shoreline, lakes, and rivers.
