Association of Michigan Basketmakers – “Weaving by the Water” 2026 Convention
December 1, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Association of Michigan Basketmakers (AMB) invites you to the 2026 Annual Convention – “Weaving by the Water”, a five-day gathering of basketmakers on the St. Clair River in Port Huron, Michigan.
Each autumn, hundreds of AMB members and guests come together at the Annual Convention to share techniques, marvel at each other’s work, and promote the art of basketry—making this one of the largest basketmaking gatherings in the United States, with more than 200 attendees and visitors each year.
The 2026 theme, “Weaving by the Water,” celebrates both the craft of basketry and the waterfront setting of Port Huron and the Blue Water area.
