We are gathering in the heart of Somerset to honor our heritage\, learn from master weavers\, and “weave away” together. Don’t miss out on this historic event featuring KBA202!\n\n \n\nThis year\, we are especially excited to welcome our friends from the North Georgia Basketry Guild and other regional weaving communities. Whether you are looking for traditional Appalachian patterns or modern sculptural techniques\, this convention is the premier event for the Southern basketry community.\n\n \n\n📅 Convention Dates: September 30 – October 2\, 2026\n\n \n\n📍 Location: The Center for Rural Development\, 2292 S Highway 27\, Somerset\, KY 42501\n\n\nWhy Attend?\n \n\n 	National Instructors: Learn advanced techniques including ribbed basketry\, coiling\, plaiting\, and twill weaving.\n \n 	Artisan Marketplace: Shop for specialty reed\, cane\, white oak splits\, and hand-forged handles from our approved vendors.\n \n 	Skill Expansion: Classes tailored for every level—from Novice (first-time weavers) to Advanced artisans.\n \n 	Heritage & Tradition: Explore patterns rooted in Native American and Appalachian traditions that have shaped Georgia and Kentucky basketry for generations.\n\n\n\n\nImportant Registration Links & Deadlines:\n \n\n 	Teacher Proposals: Now being accepted!
